Jesús Polo studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he graduated in 2003 and obtained his PhD in 2009. During the preparation of his thesis he has spent time at the University of Bologna and the University of Amsterdam. He works mainly on Ancient Greek syntax and literature. From 2007 to 2010 he worked as a lecturer in Greek at the San Justino Diocesan Institute of Classical and Oriental Philology in Madrid. Between 2010 and January 2018 he was professor of Greek language and literature at the San Justino Faculty of Christian and Classical Literature at the San Damaso University.
